Heartland Publications?

anybody know anything about them? they just bought, per their Web site (www.heartlandpublications.com)a bunch of newspapers in my home state (NC). just curious who they were as I've not heard of them until now. looks like they focus on community papers.

Not sure that I've heard of them, but from their website I was surprised to learn there is a town named Apex. That's a funny name, but "The Apex Herald," is even funnier.
