Happy National Beer Day

OK, so for National Beer Day, assuming you are not drinking from a keg, do you prefer cans or bottles?

I prefer beer in cans, when I can get it. Bottles just seem wasteful to me.

Bottles, for sure. Except Guinness, because the cans have that plastic widget that releases nitrogen when you open the can, to give it the foam head.

It depends. If you're just drinking at home or the bar, bottles are essential. But for outdoors, such as sneaking a few brews into your golf bag, going fishing, softball games, etc, cans are essential.

Bottles, because I like to be classy when drinking Bud Light.

Cans have better flow and allow for more aroma while drinking. Bottles have that glug-glug thing going which flattens the beer as you drink it. Jim Koch can be a self aggrandizing douchebag who jumps on trends and acts like he started them, but the can he developed for Sam Adams is pretty good.

I was going to say - out of glassware. I rarely drink beer from the bottle anymore. That's what bourbon is for anyway.

What brew are all imbibing to celebrate? I'm enjoying a Three Floyds Zombie Dust.

I had dinner with my son and we had Pacifico. Had a shot of mezcal with the first one.

B. Nektar Spiced Date Mead w/Maple Barrel Aged - a hot 15.5% but very tasty.

I consider mead and beer linked.

May polish off a Zombie Dust or Hopslam after this.

Honestly, I'm just upset because no one told me it was National Beer Day until late in the day (I hadn't been on Twitter all that much yesterday!!) luckily I had a pretty good Stone IPA left in the fridge .... 6.9%. Pretty good! Just glad I didn't need to leave the house because everyone (that knows me) knows that missing National Beer Day would've been a total tragedy. LOL!
