I actually feel bad for Gracie Gold here. Of course she has to say yes to this kid; she'd look like a cold-hearted ***** if she turned him down in this situation. Makes me think that this kid is a giant D-bag in real life, because he had to know that.

Seems like she left some wiggle room to change her mind:

"If it works out, I would love to," Gold, 18, politely responded.

Translation: "Are you ****ing kidding me?" Gold replied sweetly.

This move was cute a few years ago when that soldier asked Mila Kunis to his ball or whatever it was.

Everything since is just pathetic.

Shoulda asked Wagner. She seems more fun and more desperate for attention.

Gold could win gold in four years. She strikes me as an athlete who's been asked to become a product, and much like Nancy Kerrigan, she does it, but not with vigor.

It would be funny if she said no, then immediately called some other guy from his school and asked him out.

I love videos like these. They always inspire me to make one of my own and ask Jennifer Love Hewitt if she'll f**k me in the back of a Denny's parking lot. Social pressure should make her yes, right?

I'm sure someone has done a spoof of one of these...

She definitely does. Probably be a wild time with her.

I should make one...but sub in Betty White....just for the GILF factor

If I was a celebrity, male or female, I'd gladly accept prom offers provided they met my $5,000 appearance fee (and expenses) to raise money for my charity.

I guess it's nice to know there are more creeps in The Bachelor pipeline.

Do you really think it was original then?

This is only the third biggest cliche of the "viral video" age, after:

1. Soldier returning from deployment surprises his kids at school/athletic event

2. School allows "special needs" student to score touchdown/shoot basket or elects her homecoming queen

Frankly, I'm sick of all of them and their feeling that they're entitled to media coverage and/or pats on the back from society.

Soldiers returning home and surprises loved ones videos are awesome. That is a f**king fact.
Doesn't even belong in the conversation with this prom crap.

Agree. Soldiers coming home videos never get old. Especially since this war isn't of the type that we'll be able to end with a peace treaty and a parade. They deserve our thanks.

Yup. I don't care how many different ones I see, I can never get tired of a young kid being ecstatic to see his/her returning soldier dad/mom.

While I do get misty about the soldier homecoming videos I also tend to think that moment should be private. I kind of feel creepy watching, I guess I think some things should not be so public.

It sure sucks to let somebody whom government/society has **** on have a moment in the sun.
We should keep gratifying ****tards like Octomom and Justin Bieber.
