Google's My Maps tool

I'm working on a created map (have put my placemarkers in all the right spots) but now I'm stuck. I'm wanting to create a PDF version of the map, but when I go to create pdf, the placemarkers don't show. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Piggybacking, does anyone know if I can show the labels instead of just using the thumbtacks?

Beetus, I just did a screen capture and saved the map as a JPEG on my computer. But I'd love some labels.

Jay- I know you can change the label by clicking the blue icon in the corner and selecting a new image (or uploading your own).
