Corso went 41-68-2 at Indiana. He also managed to get a Hoosiers lead against Ohio State for the first time in 25 years — he called timeout in the 1976 game and had the team pose for a photo in front of the scoreboard — before the Buckeyes won 47-7.

My favorite Corso story is when he took the Indiana job and told boosters, "we're going to have a Rose Bowl team here next year." He then went out and scheduled a home game with UCLA, which had been in the Rose Bowl the previous season.

Call me clueless, but why does being an SDSU grad make one anti-Corso?

I disagree. Eric Crouch over Rex Grossman was worse.
