Austin has changed immensely for the worse in 10 years. It's commercialized, crowded, and crime is skyrocketing. Turn a wrong corner downtown and you could end up in a really dodgy street.

Plant was on Austin City Limits the other night; I vaguely knew he had been hanging around the city, but I didn't know he was living there.

Plant's detours into country. bluegrass etc. have allowed him to move beyond Zeppelin in a way Page never will. Plant always seems to find interesting people to collaborate with, Page will never find another Plant.

Meh, you ain't missing much. I've had a Shiner in that little post office/store, and once I borrowed a guitar and joined in a little jam session in the back for a few minutes. But it really isn't that big of a deal/place. It's mostly just a thing that you do/say you've done.
