And she is getting $4,300/month for living expenses from his legal defense fund. You'd think George could get a job at the local mall or Target as a rent-a-cop.

Yeah, I'm sure places are dying to hire someone as a security guard who is likely to be executed at any moment.

I can only imagine the toll this all has taken on his family.

I'm sure they were a healthy couple before the shooting.

I guess she couldn't handle the "for worse" part of her marriage vows.

It wouldn't surprise me either way, but even the happiest marriage might not be able to survive something like what she's been through.

Well, her "worse" is a lot worse than most people's.

The media is obsessed with Zimmerman, and covers every traffic stop as big news, yet has still failed to learn (or at least report) the name of the off duty cop who killed an unarmed man in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood last week:

George Zimmerman's wife says she doesn't know the man she's been married to for almost seven years and doesn't think she "ever really knew him at all."

In an exclusive interview with ABC News shortly after her attorney filed for divorce from the Florida man acquitted in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, Shellie Zimmerman said she is left with a shattered life.

"I stood by my husband through everything and I kind of feel like he left me with a bunch of broken glass that I'm supposed to now assemble and make a life…It's just heartbreaking," she said.

Shellie Zimmerman, 26, stood by her husband throughout the ordeal that began on Feb. 26, 2012 when her husband shot and killed the unarmed teenager and came to an end when a Florida jury acquitted him of murder in July.

But less than two months later, she filed for divorce.

"I have a selfish husband. And I think George is all about George," she said.

She claims that at times he was verbally abusive and hurt her "emotionally, but never physical."

"I think I'm realizing that I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don't think that I ever really knew him at all," Shellie Zimmerman said.

Shellie Zimmerman said her husband is not only driving too fast, referencing the two incidents in which her husband has been pulled over for speeding recently, but also living too fast since his acquittal.

She says he spent maybe three or four nights at their home with her before she moved out in mid-August. She says she believes the not guilty verdict has left her husband feeling "invincible" and since then has been "making some reckless decisions."

She's no model of fitness herself.

Maybe he's hitting that blond who was part of his legal team or
maybe the first judge who had to recuse herself.

How old is Zimmerman? Apparently, he married his wife when she was a teenager.

That's false. It's been pretty well documented that Zimmerman is 29, and he married his wife six years ago.

I would argue anything that happens after Zimmerman's acquittal, short of new evidence, a confession of some sort, another similar incident, etc., would be irrelevant and better left to the gossip mags.

And, I know you're just trolling with the off-duty cop thing, but considering the reporting done so far, the story isn't exactly being handled by the cream of the crop. They've identified the "victim," and managed to spell his name three different ways in two paragraphs:

Rozell was shot twice in the chest. It is has not been determined if Rozelle was carrying a weapon. The South Side resident has a lengthy criminal record that includes several burglaries.

Camden says at the time of the shooting, Roselle apparently had a backpack full of stolen items that included watches and phones. Rozelle's father said his son was a drifter with a past includes trouble with the law.

It said they'd been married for seven years and she's 26. That would have made her 19. I had no idea he was that young. I never cared enough to check. I assumed he was 40ish.

Wow. That's awesome.

But, Chicago isn't Podunk. You'd think someone in the press would want to know a little about the cop.

But, Rickey had a long rap sheet, and isn't a sympathetic victim. So, while he wasn't armed, it would be tough to write a narrative that would get anyone interested in his story.

There are literally dozens of reasons why a cop wouldn't be identified publicly.

Also, it may be harder in Chicago than elsewhere, but it's not at all uncommon for entire departments to close ranks to ensure there are no leaks.

Any good reasons?

I don't know for certain if Zimmerman is a violent, abusive and reckless man. But The Narrative decided early that he wasn't. Questions must be asked.
