Howard J. Rubenstein founded the company in 1954. They are considered experts at crisis management and finaincial relations, they serve as counselors on image management and corporate citizenship. They take an aggressive, hands on approach to obtaining coverage for their clients. A majority of their staff interacts with the media daily and are very capable of placing articles, letters to the editor, and op-ed pieces in newspapers to bolster visibility for their clients' message and products.
