FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATE SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR/PRIMARY FOOTBALL CONTACT (July 14 deadline)
Florida International University, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of associate sports information director. The successful candidate will be the primary contact for the Golden Panthers I-A football team and assist the assistant athletic director/media relations in managing all facets of promoting the intercollegiate athletic program and its 17 sports teams.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of previous experience in directly working in football media relations.
Experience demonstrating the ability to work well with a variety of constituents and members of the media, managing a high work load with frequent interruptions, and creativity is a must. Successful candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high paced work and event environment. Strong computer capabilities and knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop), Microsoft Office, statistical software and web-based programs are necessary, as is the availability to work nights and weekends.
