Funny thing is neither team scored in the 6th or 7th.

What's the game time on that sumbitch? 4-5 hours?

I'd be on the crisis hotline by the 5th inning.

It doesn't seem fair for the first pitcher to get the loss.

It doesn't seem fair? The clown gave up 8 runs in 2/3 of an inning.

What's bizarre is the starter for Lake Elsinore had 18-3 and 22-6 leads and couldn't make it through 5 to get the win!

He probably reached his pitch limit. That's always a factor in this league and most minor leagues.

Or maybe it was the 11 runs and 13 hits he gave up.

When I saw the thread title, I figured it was afl2 or something of that nature.

I like the guy with the 135.0 ERA.

I'm more impressed by both starters, after their nights of suckitude, having the same 4.54 ERA.

Teams combined for 10 home runs. SIX Lake Elsinore players had at least four hits, one had five. And congrats to High Desert DH Joseph Dunigan for taking a collar in a game with a combined 58 hits.

The guy with the 135.0 ERA was the starting catcher, so I suppose that can be forgiven.

the starting pitcher for high desert is a local product. that's most likely the worst outing he's had, counting high school.

California League is some good minor league baseball. High A and AA is probably the most fun to watch. Players have had some success and they haven't peaked or plateaued yet.

I agree. AA is where you see the kids coming up that can play. AAA has a few of these as well, but it's also full of retreads, dead-enders and "tweener" guys.
