Just a thread for other OU folks to discuss what was almost the greatest sporting event in the history of sporting events since the start of history ever of all time.

In case you missed it, the Cats were leading OSU 14-6 in the 3rd quarter, and still ahead 14-12 at the start of the 4th. Then they just overpowered us, won 26-14. Sigh.

I would be lamenting our 4 interceptions and one fumble, except I have to also acknowledge that OSU literally handed us one of our touchdowns by fumbling in the end zone.

I gotta say, considering our backup QB played the whole game, it's pretty encouraging that we might be OK.

Look out Northwestern!!!!

Cue up the Dennis Green rant. -4 turnover ratio and gave up a special teams TD.

Ahem.

Matt Lauer never graduated! If you go there, add in Paul Newman who spent, like, a quarter, at OU and got tossed for rolling kegs down Jeff Hill.

If you can't be best be first... OU, the first institute of higher education west of the Alleghenies.

Aha, Lauer did get his degree when he went back to speak at graduation in 1997.

Thom Brennaman went back and taught for two weeks and got his degree too in 2000. Other recent minor celebs include, Piper Perabo, that blonde chick, Jen Scheft, from the second season of the Bachelor that stole our hearts, White Sox pitcher Adam Russell, Browns punter Dave Zastudil...

I walked with Thom Brennaman in 1986......Marty was at graduation.

Although I'd typically pile on with you, I have no problem with those words if someone attended the college.

Hank, thanks for defending the use of we. I also don't use it for anything except my alma mater.
