I love cereal. What's your favorite? Which ones did you love but now can't stand? Which did you hate but now love? What's your best cereal story i.e. how much in one sitting, or how many boxes in a week?

My favorite cereal of all-time was Cocoa Pebbles, with Cocoa Puffs a close second, and Cinnamon Life and Lucky Charms third.

For the last few years, my fave has been Smart Start original. That said, I bought a box the other day, and there were hardly any oat clusters, which was odd. I was rather angry, going through the entire box and getting only a few clips of clusters.

As for most cereal in one eating, I've gone through entire boxes of Cocoa Pebbles in one sitting. Growing up, during my Cheerios phase, I'd drown a bowl of Cheerios in sugar. Other times I'd down Cheerios in chocolate milk. Chocolate milk and Cocoa Pebbles is quite the choco-soupy mix.

Once separated all the marshmellows from a box of Lucky Charms and downed them all.

You?

Honeycombs and Lucky Charms are my favorites. I used to love Honey Nut Cheerios, but don't really like them anymore.

I've never understood how anyone could eat Grapenuts. They taste like gravel to me.

Breakfast of champions, hands down.

Second-best: Golden Grahams.

Good call on the Golden Grahams. I have never understood the draw to Wheaties, either. It doesn't taste like anything. I guess I have to have sugar in my cereal.

Don't eat cereal too often. When I do it's usually something simple like Cheerios or Crispix. The most in one sitting is probably 1/2 a box, if that.

Favorites:
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Honeycombs
Crispix
Raisin Bran Crunch
Golden Grahams are also good (thanks Buck)

Golden Grahams or Honey Nut Cheerios.

Get the Captain Crunch away from me. It tears up the roof of my mouth. It's like eating knives.

I eat cereal like gangbusters, and I'm not even the most voracious cereal-eater in my own home. But Wheaties is, and always will be, my staple -- nutritious and delicious.

I'll second that on grape nuts. Where the **** were the grapes? Break your teeth eating that ****. I don't eat much cereal anymore. But you can't go wrong with Fruity Pebbles. These days, when I do eat cereal, it's Raisin Nut Bran or Granola.
Back in high school, my friend Tom, his dad went on a diet and ate nothing but Mueslix for two weeks. That guy had to spend at least half of that time on the toilet.

I'm always going to be a kid when it comes to cereal. My favorite, since I can remember, has been Cinnamon Toast Crunch, with Cookie Crisp in second and Fruity Pebbles in third.

Right now, I've got Fruity Pebbles, Apple Jacks and Golden Grahams on top of my fridge.

I used to really like Grape Nuts. My mom always bought them, and I loved how the milk disappeared in the cereal. And any kind of Chex is good by me.

I always feel like an idiot in the cereal isle. For 10 minutes, I'll pace the isle looking for one box of cereal, which is usually all I can afford a week. Then I pick out Cookie Crisp and think, "It's been a while since I was 8. ..."

Honey Bunches of Sadness

Love, love, love Honey Bunches of Oats. Original, strawberry or peach -- I'll eat 'em all, any time.

I've only had the original. I liked the cereal, but only had it once or twice.

It used to be Frosted Flakes. Now it's either CTC or Golden Grahams.

The one cereal I never got into was Reese's Puffs. I had it once and didn't finish the bowl. I was surprised because the peanut butter cups are my favorite candy.

I got paged to this thread, and what a great thread it is. I practically need a pet cow for all the milk I consume in the name of cereal.

I've been called a Frosted-Mini-Wheat-itarian. That's the staple, but as I'm trying to limit my sugar intake I've switched to Kashi Cinnamon Harvest, same thing but no frosting. Brought home four boxes from Sam's Club yesterday.

I love the Honey Bunches of Oats, any variety. I've been known to eat Total, Cheerios and Life consistently as well. Love any of those with berries thrown in.

Can't stand the sugery ****. The closest I'll get is Golden Grahams, but that stuff is really more of a dessert than a meal. Even as a kid I wouldn't eat it. Too sweet.

And Mayfly, quit using that expression. Classless.

Favorites growing up:
1. Cap'n Crunch -- Any of the flavors. Loved em' all.
2. Cheerios -- A few spoon fulls of sugar and I was good to go.
3. Corn Flakes -- Same as Cheerios.
4. Wheaties -- Love this cereal still.
5. Rice Krispies -- Same as Nos. 2 and 3.
6. Cookie Crisp -- What kid didn't love eating cookies for breakfast?
7. Cocoa/Fruity Pebbles -- Damn good cereal.
8. Rice Chex -- Ate it with just milk sometimes and others with sugar.
9. Cinnamon Toast Crunch -- My breakfast of charmions.

Now:
1. Crispix -- Ate a lot of this when I lived away from home. Absolutely love this cereal.
2. Frosted Cheerios -- It tastes pretty damn good to me.
3. Honey Nut Cheerios -- Yum.
4. Corn Flakes -- Same as above.
5. Cheerios -- Same as above.
6. Wheaties -- Don't eat Wheaties as much as I used to, but it's still some damn good cereal.
7. Cocoa/Fruity Pebbles -- Still love this cereal.
8. Honey Nut Crunch (or whatever the **** it's called) -- This has become one of my favorite cereals, no matter what time of day.

Most cereal I've eaten is probably 3/4 of a box in one sitting.

OK, I say this in all seriousness. My favorite all-time cereal is Raisin Squares (now called Mini Wheats with Raisin, if they still exist), and I will pay anyone on here who knows where to find them double for every box they can send me. I'm not kidding. Every trip I've taken to the grocery store for the last two years, I head down the cereal aisle looking for them. Nothing. Last time I saw them was at a Kroger in Fort Wayne, Ind. In hindsight, I shoulda bought at least 50 boxes, which woud have lasted me about 50 days. Maybe. Damn, now I'm REALLY jonesing for them.

Seriously, dude. There's nothing wrong with Cap'n Crunch. ...

Mafia Boss: You come to me and ask me to kill a man I do not know. Now I ask you, why should I kill this "Count Chocula"?
Cap'n Crunch: Because that son of a ***** has been spreading lies! My cereal does not cut the roof of your mouth! ... With all respect.

I changed my point about Captain Crunch, but the fact still remains. It tears the roof of my mouth up near the end of the first bowl. I still eat it occasionally, maybe because I am a masochist, and maybe because that executioners' mask is in my closet, but still, it wreaks havoc on the roof of my mouth.

Thank you, Mayfly. You still proved your point well. And yeah, I hate that ****, too.
