POSITION SUMMARY: A veteran editor requiring vast knowledge and interest in golf’s international competition and development. Will serve as managing editor of an online global golf publication.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Overseeing day-to-day operations of the publication, including: • posting and monitoring presentation of all editorial content – stories, photos, videos, podcasts, etc. • scanning various news agencies and outlets for content • rewriting wire stories for a targeted audience • editing stories submitted by staff and freelance writers • tracking editorial assignments from concept-to-finished product • developing editorial content and resources in key markets • coordinating content with international editorial partners
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism • Minimum five years of daily journalism and Web experience
