Drones to replace cart girls?

I could see a driverless cart, but not something from the air. I think golfers like whatever peace and quiet they can get.

I dunno ... When we go on our annual MB golf trip I see the cart girls a little over twice a round. And I use the term "girl" loosely.
Typically they are female retirees.
I'm not interested in nice tits and a flirty attitude. Sure that's nice.. but I really want a decent bloody mary, a few beers and a little more frequency.

A few years ago, when my daughter had turned 18, she said she wanted to get a job as a cart girl at my club. To which I replied over my dead friggin' body ...

You're looking for a decent bloody mary on the golf course? Savvy.

My little 9-hole muni doesn't serve alcohol. So, it's bring your own coolers......or in my case.......have a fully stocked beer fridge in my cart shed....as about 3/4 of the guys have anyway.

There's a fine line between good service from a cart girl and begging for tips.

If you're wanting a bloody mary on the golf course -- and Lord knows I've been there -- you are likely pretty damn open-minded when it comes to quality.

Bloody Marys should be purchased in the clubhouse bar before going out on the course. There are usually four drink holders on a cart, so buy two if necessary. Make them doubles, if necessary. I've never asked a cart girl for one in my life.

Nor have I, but that's because I cheat and sneak vodka and mix out onto the course. Once my best friend and I were playing in a Saturday morning tournament and started with a pint of vodka and a quart of mix. It was a shotgun start and we started on No. 14. By the time we made the first "turn" (i.e., No. 18), we were out of vodka, so we got one at the bar because of course we had to have one more. Then it was on to the beer we had stashed. Then, when we'd won, it was into the keg that was provided by the tournament. My wife came and picked me up at the pool ... I was sprawled out on a chaise, snoring.

Tough week in the Doctorquant household, lemme tell you. The old cold-shoulder-and-hot-tongue treatment in spades ...

A friend invited me to play the St Patrick's Day tournament at Scarsdale CC last month. There was beer at every hole and you got a stroke for every beer you drank. I left my car at home that day.
