Don't have a link handy but all the Nats beats guys have posted something. Nats said he's done, no further comment. No word on replacement, Ray Knight will do color rest of this trip. My guess is he'll do it rest of season.

Man, I need to get a custom doorbell with that on it. Of course, no one comes to my house ...

Some of us haven't been invited.
You can come to our house and not listen to Dibble.

Is your doorbell the sound of Strasburg's elbow popping? [/toosoon?]

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

He needs to just keep showing up and broadcasting. You can’t have the cavalry come in and save your butt every time you say something a little stupid.

Great. Now where am I going to turn for intelligent, well-thought out baseball analysis?

Also, this thread would have been even better if it were called, "Dibble Caned".

Dibble deserved to be canned for dogging those broads behind the plate two weeks ago. You just don't embarrass PAYING CUSTOMERS on TV just because you want to shoot your mouth off. His Stras comments weren't worthy of being fired, but when you take into account his whole resume, it was the right thing to do. Dibble was being paid a healthy salary to have INFORMED OPINIONS and 99% of the time, his opinions were anything but.

Unfortunately, Dibble will never learn. Nice job, Rob, you douche. Get that tattooed on your ass.

Dibble must be devastated that he missed calling the bench-clearing brawl tonight.

Yeah, well I bet there were about five people watching the game after it reached 10-3 tonight. And I'm sure it had nothing to do with Nyjer Morgan, who deserves to be filing for unemployment tomorrow.

Well, of course it did. Every single day StanK allows Morgan to be on this roster is a day too long. What a disgrace to baseball and Washington in general.

Someone please can Riggleman, too. He's a .400 manager for a reason and a Nyjer coddler makes it even worse. I'm ashamed to be a Nats fan right now. Thanks, assholes.

If the color commentary for Nats' games were done by the ghost of Mel Blanc in his "Porky Pig stutter", it would be an improvement over the inane comments that kept emanating from Rob Dibble.

My eardrums feel as if they will now get some respite from his assault and battery on them.

I love Hawk.

Sorry . . . the recovery time from his brief, pathetic, brain-damanged GMmanship was far too long.

Yeah, if you incite a crowd but there's no one in the stands, does anyone hear it?

Great move! This will certainly be the thing that gets people in DC to watch baseball and justify the city's spending on that new stadium...
