This is not good. There are a lot of good people in those joints, especially sports. And this is the second big buyout for those papers in the last year. Good luck to all of those involved.
 
How many families' incomes could Albom save by raising his hand for this? Or would the brass refuse his offer, if he made one, just to keep him around for his perceived value to circulation?

Maybe someone should write a column about Albom seeking the buyout and submit it as if it already has happened.
