Northwest Arkansas Newspapers in Springdale, Ark. has an opening on its design desk. The person leaving was just hired as a sports designer by the Tulsa World. His position was primarily a sports designer for NAN. This is a universal desk that designs pages for 4 separate small dailies in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville. The design desk is in Springdale. The hours will be 3-midnight. The designers also have copy editing duties. There are also a number of niche publications, including a weekly entertainment tabloid, a fan magazine for the Arkansas Razorbacks, etc. This would be an ideal position for a recent college grad looking to build great clips.
