Colorado passed a same-sex civil unions bill, so the photographer shot a photo of the House Speaker, who's gay, kissing his partner after the vote:

Here's the ensuing ****show on Facebook:

The Post's explanation, not that one is needed:

Gross.

Why couldn't they have used a couple of hot lesbians kissing instead?

Why doesn't anyone ever think of the children???

If anyone thought of the children, that godaddy commercial wouldn't exist.

Two young, skinny white men in suits wearing thick-framed glasses. What else did people think they would do?

This is awesome. And so true.

And, sadly, unrealistic:

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is spending $1.5 million to study the “high public-health significance” of why 75 percent of lesbian women are obese and gay men are not, CNS News reports.

Consider getting a haircut so she doesn't look like a pineapple?

Isn't it kind of a poorly kept secret in the gay rights movement that homosexual men and lesbians don't particularly like each other a great deal, in general?

"Modern Family" played it for some pretty good laughs recently.

I don't know. I watched The L Word a few times and some Cinemax documentaries. Lesbians seem very attractive, fit and friendly as a rule.

This is obviously anecdotal, but most of my gay and lesbian friends have at least a few friends of the other gender.

The GoDaddy commercial, about 95 percent of the crap that currently passes itself off as TV programming, and about 99 percent of movies ...

I don't care too much for any sort of kissing photo. Guess I'm not surprised at the ****storm, but that's one more reason why newspaper websites shouldn't have a comments option. Facebook? Who cares about that gossip?

So, hell, if you're the paper and want to run it, fine.... it tells a story. Just don't be surprised when a certain portion of the readership gets their underwear in a bunch. If papers get calls over running a simple car crash photo, what do you expect?

Have you ever kissed a girl?
