The GOP (you know, that bastion that loves to talk about "freedom") leadership of the Michigan House of Representatives banned Democratic representative Lisa Brown from speaking on the House floor about any issue the day after Brown said the word "vagina" when arguing against a bill that would essentially ban abortion after 20 weeks.

And the even more ironic thing is, Brown pointed out that the law would ... impose on her own Jewish religion, which believes abortion is legal to save the woman's life. The bill that passed would not. War on religion indeed.

Freedom for the GOP essentially means the freedom to do what they want to everybody else. I have lost so much respect for people who hide behind slogans and mantras to cover for their racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic attitudes.

There might be a secret codicil in the Faber College constitution regarding double secret probation, but can the Michigan Legislature really do this? I would say that, in that case, the legal system could/should get involved.

Seems to be a lot of states in the Big Ten Conference/Pac-12 foot prints have gone stark/raving mad. I blame the Rose Bowl.

So, I'm guessing that live interview on Lawrence O'Donnell's show on MSNBC last night probably didn't help Brown's cause?
