Dealing with junk e-mails: Would this get me in trouble?

I usually just delete the junk e-mails that show up in my work account. I think that various folks mine our server and connect random addresses to sent their political and commercial stuff to.

Because I'm in a cranky mood, I'm thinking about pasting their return addresses in about every "send me some more information" or "put me on the e-mail list" option that I can find on the Internet.

Will that get me into trouble?

Don't know. But I received one of those "send me money so I can free up the million in the bank account and send it to you" e-mails at my work address. I responded with "have your lawyers contact mine so we can start finalizing the agreement"

Actually, a lot of spam mails are generated by viruses that infect e-mail servers, with the address holders unaware they're being sent. So it's not always the fault of whoever's address is on the e-mail.
