Okay, since I installed the new version of iTunes on my computer it's taking forever to update and I can't upload songs.

Anyone else having the same problem?

I can't seem to connect to the iTunes store for the life of me.

Sorry, I can be of no help to you.

installed 7.0.whatever today, bought songs, uploaded 25 CDs, installed new 80 gb ipod all with no problem

iTunes isn't hooking up with my stereo system the way I thought it would. Does this mean I have to stick the 8-track tape into the floppy drive?

You're not alone, Farmer J. When I installed the latest version of I-tunes and updated my iPod, the iPod started locking up on me. Had re-install several times before I got it working again. Big pain in the butt.

The folks at the apple.com message boards are complaining quite a bit about this problem.

So, as an Ipod newbie with a PC, should I download the new ITunes or wait a while?

I've put 1500 songs on my Ipod recently and don't want to have to do it again...

In your case, Zeke, seems like the old saying applies..
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

7.0.1 is just as problematic as 7.0. I'm on a Mac and had problems with the gapless playback feature trying to analyze songs. I think I had some corrupt audio files that were causing my computer to hang while the analysis was going on.

In short, I ended up trashing a few music files as well as 7.0.1 and just re-installed iTunes 6 which worked just fine. Maybe I'll try iTunes 7.0.2 when it comes out but for now I can do without the the gapless playback, the album art and the hijacking of my computer while 7.0.1 is running.

Our computer guy at work told me not to mess with Itunes 7, so I've kept 6 and had no problems at all.
