I really hope it's not, but wouldn't be surprised if it is.....

Michael Irvin under investigation for alleged sexual assault

I generally like Irv.

Moneyline: Irvin, who works as an analyst for NFL Network after a 12-year career with the Cowboys, said the woman, a cosmetologist, texted him the next day, requesting him to “come for a facial when you get back to Ft. Lauderdale,” per TMZ.

Something says she's used to facials. Both giving and receiving.

So what network will he drop to now with this legal situation?

Home Sports TV, from 1984 in Dallas?
FS2?
Pac12?

Gee ...other than his 1996 sexual assault allegations, his 2007 sexual assault allegations, or his multiple prior drug arrests.... there's nothing in his history or demeanor to suggest he might be capable of such a thing.

Those were a complete fraud and I believe the woman ended up being convicted in relation to making a bogus accusation.

This is where I differ from guys like Chef2. I don't understand the 'dammit" part. What do you have invested in Michael Irvin that this news would bring you down?
I'm not judging, just wondering.

Fair question. He's dealt with stuff like this before obviously. I think the "dammit" part was because I generally like the guy. (No, I'm not a Cowboys fan)
I have nothing invested in Michael Irvin whatsoever.

At least he didn't stab her in the neck with scissors...

I've never understood fans' attraction to Michael Irvin. He's a mealy-mouthed moron who laughs a lot. I'm sure he's great to party with, but he's more or less unintelligible on TV and never adds anything insightful.

He was a great player who helped my favorite team win many games and some titles.

The "88 Club" stuff he yelled constantly on the NFL Network, that he tried to make "a thing", was as stupid and unfunny as the cookie monster pushing the Jif thing here.

Michael Irvin has a great personality. So do a lot of douchebags.

Are you sure you're not mistaking loud personality for great personality?

Can't say I've ever noticed Irvin being insightful or clever about anything. Instead, as far as I can tell, his whole schtick is basically just to act really loud and brash, perhaps in the hopes folks will mistake loudness and brashness for something more.

He was the absolutely perfect character for the take-no-**** Cowboys returning to glory.

He is fairly worthless beyond that.

Michael Irvin is not only an awful broadcaster, but he's no prize as a human being, either.

A local sports radio station has him on as a guest during football season and I cannot understand why. He is a mush mouthed moron. What's worse is the hosts try to play into his cockiness and celebrity, which doesn't go well.

I'll give Irvin the benefit of the doubt for now but, damn, you'd think after Darren Sharper that drugging-and-raping would have fallen off the NFL alumni schedule of activities.

I just saw a headline that referred to it as a "sex battery" case.

If I had to choose one person I thought would have a sex battery, it would be Michael Irvin.
