Sports Department
The Register-Guard in Eugene, OR, is seeking to hire a full-time sports copy editor. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong word editing and page design skills. Qualified applicants will have daily newspaper experience as a reporter and/or a copy editor; a degree from a four-year college or university, and excellent writing and verbal communication skills. The Register-Guard uses a state-of-the-art pagination system and candidate must demonstrate strong computer literacy. Schedule will vary according to workload, night and weekend work required. Salary scale is $713.00- $1095.30 per week, plus an exceptional benefits plan. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
