That piece is quite consistent with my experience around Canadians. Nice folk, but ******* do they ever like their beer. Combine the beer-swilling culture with the biggest sporting event on Canadian soil in decades and that's exactly the environment I'd expect there.

Good for Vancouver, hopefully some of this lasts.

Vancouver had the reputation of "Nofuncouver" when I lived there. It is a great city but absolutely filled with whiners and complainers.

The beauty of it did not make up for all of the people who needed to take their head out if their ass and realize where they lived.
