Really interesting read on Gawker about a company trying to pay writers for linking to companies in their stories. Also found it interesting that the company in question here has a simple template-based site with no sub pages.

Was thinking of making a separate topic for this, but it fits here (and apologies if it's a d_b):

It's just sad the paper has to pay Saints players to tweet about the newspaper's crappy website. BTW, the Saints site on NOLA.com is one of the worst newspaper websites I've seen.

Yes, but this is different. Direct payments for services rendered to sources. It's late at night, so don't get me started.

dooley_womack1, who trolls HotNakedBimbos.com at work, says he could go either way.

I knew that wasn't a real website, but I clicked the link anyway. Just in case.

I'm frankly surprised that it isn't. I guess even devotees of Internet porn have some standards.
Time to register some domains?

Did anyone see the story about the Saints players who are being paid to tweet about the Times-Picayune?

Probably a safe bet. :D

Not the first time I've done that. I'm sure it won't be the last.
