Maybe China should just let them have guns, so they can finish them off more quickly?

Well, this is horrifying:

Why drivers in China intentionally kill the pedestrians they hit: China’s laws have encouraged the hit to kill phenomenon.

When drivers in China hit a pedestrian, they often then reverse and run over the victim multiple times to make sure he/she is dead. Why? Because they don't want to pay for a lifetime of medical treatment.

I hit a pedestrian once upon a time. I did not attempt to then finish the job.

Well, why not?

Slacker.

First day of college, first class, we do the ice breaker thing.

The guy I get paired with had run over and killed his girlfriend's mother the summer before.

My turn comes, and just as he asked me to: "This is Brandon. He's from Indianapolis. He ran over and killed someone with his car this summer."

That's one of the weirder stories I've read in awhile. And damn glad I didn't try to click the links--an image I know don't need stuck in my head is that of some yuppie in a BMW methodically backing over a child because it's the sounder financial move...

I got hit once as a kid ...thank god I wasn't in China at the time.

They have a driver's license to kill...

This will definitely be a topic of conversation at our dinner table tonight, along with our daily update of bad Asian driving sightings. Recently, we've gone through a rash of Asian drivers, who, from double left-turn pockets, make U-turns from the lane on the right.

I'm not qtlaw, but did that guy just say he carves out a portion of his day to make fun of Asian drivers?

That's Mark2010 territory there.

qtlaw's response will be better, but yes, apparently it's dinner time tradition.

Somebody better QFP that so qt is sure to see it.

Well, we see it every day. I even had an insurance agent at the Auto Club tell me, "Every **one** knows Asians can't drive." And he is Asian.
Believe me, this isn't being racist, this is being observant.
