it's again worth asking: does ANYONE like fudge packer?

FWIW, i've met a few wake forest clowns on the internets who respect him, but don't necessarily like him. and that's about it.

Thompson is unlistenable, period. I'm surprised that Mr. Excitable, Kevin Harlan, wasn't on the radio call. They had Kevin Kugler do the pbp.

You know what, though? Thompson does absolutely terrific interviews with NBA players. He's tougher on them than others are - because he knows they respect him, and he also doesn't care.

Here's the most amazing one: when Kevin Garnett cries for like three minutes.

Billy (Please) Pack(er) it in says this game is over.

A friend of mine sent me a text while I was on desk tonight. It read, "Packer is an idiot. This game is not over yet."

Sadly, only Billy didn't realize it wasn't.

PS: criticizing him is cool, but you can do it without the "he's a homo" stuff.

good luck on that

Thank God Harlan wasn't on that broadcast.
...or Gus Johnson.

Gus is the best. Matter of opinion, of course. But I like him so much because he's a master of conveying the emotion of a game - because the ebbs and flows of the game are what determines what he'll say. He has his trademark things, but, other than maybe the delightful "ha-HAAA" laugh, there's little that's conspicuous as shtick - he gets excited when we, as fans, are excited, and he's not when we're not.

Get ready for the special Masters Voice from Nantz this week.

Gus Johnson? Sucks ass.

I was rooting for the Carolina comeback only because Packer would have to live with the "It's over" thing every time he bought aloaf of bread back home for the next 40 years.

Fenian, I had the exact same thought the second Packer made his comment. So, judging from his somewhat strangled reaction, did Nantz.

Can't stand Packer.....Can't stand Nantzy.....

I don't mind Gus Johnson; He was actually pretty good with Elmore during the Elite Eight.

I listened to the WW1 feed of Kiley, Raftery, and Thompson. Raft and JT are both knowledgable, and Kiley knows when to say something, and when to just shut up and let those two go.

Let's see how much homework Billy did: It's not Marcus "Ginyerd" it's Marcus "Gin-yard." Unlikely he'll get that right. When Okafor was playing for the national-champion UConn team, he called him Oka-fur.

Billy Dun-a-vin has no idea what you mean.
