Not to me. I don't think he was "comparing" her to a gorilla, but I think he meant to use that word.

The comment is odd regardless of what word he intended, as I've never heard that phrase used before in either context.

But I don't believe for a second that he meant to compare Venus to a gorilla. Sounds to me like just another silly PC pseudo-controversy being blown out of proportion by the perpetually-outraged crowd.
