Seen this one making the rounds on some shows and the web. Some street baller at a dunk contest in L.A. does a cartwheel, grabs the ball off the ground while upside down, then follows it up with a flawless between-the-legs dunk.
Pretty badass.

Best ever? Nah. Cedric Ceballos once did a blindfolded dunk.

No, really! During All-Star Weekend! ....................... What?

Everything is cooler in slo-motion and extreme camera angles. The raw footage was of a dumpy 5-8 white guy hitting a 6-foot bank shot.

And he was wearing a headband and striped tube socks pulled up to his knees.

Here's a clip (of the dunk, not the dumpy white guy) at full speed and without all of the cheesy Nike crap on there.

It wasn't in a dunk contest, but it basically was in a dunk contest: Air Up There's 720-degree dunk.

If you're a guy between the ages of 30-40, it's probably at least a 50-50 shot that you had the poster of this dunk on your wall sometimes as a kid...

That was a tad before my time, but my cousins had that one. I had posters of Heather Thomas, Heather Locklear and Alyssa Milano at some point though.

Same idea, but this one applies more to the "between ages of 40 and 50" today set.

Yup, had this one. Was my favorite photo until I saw Cheryl Tiegs in a white fishnet getup in an SI swimsuit issue. Yowza!

Edit to add details: Turns out, it was the 1978 swimsuit issue. If I could ever be smart enough to discern how to put pis here, I would do so. Yes, I know, full of fail, I be.

Ahem. That's a roundoff.

(Hey, my best friend in HS was a cheerleader and she used to yell at me for saying that.) :D

Crazy as it is to say, I think the best dunk contests I've ever seen were at the McDonald's Game, rather than the NBA all-star game.

Candace Parker agrees.
I've rarely been more infuriated watching a sporting event -- or quasi-sporting event, in this case -- than when she won the high school dunk contest. You had guys doing 360 dunks, between the legs dunks, two-ball dunks, etc., and she comes up and does a glorified layup.
And wins.
Because she's a girl and she dunked.
****. That.
If a man did that dunk he'd rightfully be booed out of the gym. She gets a standing ovation and a "You go girl!" It was utterly ridiculous, worse than when Nate Robinson won the NBA contest with a mediocre dunk on his seventh attempt, just because he's 5-6 and can dunk. If Vegas takes action on these things, any time you see either a short guy or a woman in a dunk contest, bet the house on them. Ain't no way in hell they're losing. Those contests are fixed more than a '97 Dodge Caravan in a trailer park.

I see very little evidence on these videos of anyone playing the game the right way. I fear for the future of the game.

David Lee beating James White was pretty absurd, too. James White should never lose a dunk contest, ever.
