The restructuring and departures at the DMN got me thinking (a dangerous development).

What paper does the board think has the strongest lineup of general sports columnists? Which paper has a No. 1 starter, a fast baller; a No. 2 starter, a reliable eater of innings; a No. 3 starter, who specializes in off-seed stuff?

I got spoiled reading Bozich and Forde on a near daily basis over the years at The Coruier-Journal. Brewer was a good read, and I liked the out-of-the box approach he did sometimes (for instance, following a jockey's diet for a couple weeks).

Eric Crawford has gotten off to a good start and shows promise as a No. 2 guy, and I don't mean that in ARod-Jeter sense.

Posnanski-Whitlock is all the KC Star needs, really. Good cop, bad cop. Optimist-pessimist. Royals-Chiefs (and KU). Those two made me look forward to reading the Star over breakfast every morning growing up.
