When writing about catches, after the first reference of 29 pounds, 6 ounces, would subsequent figures be spelled out, 29-6 or 29.6?

I'm seeing it both ways on bass stories, but 29.6 would be 29 6/10 pounds using the decimal system, so that would be technically incorrect.

As usual, the AP stylebook is vague.

Thoughts?

Make sure you get whether said bass fisherperson used a Texas rig or a Carolina rig or a jig-n-pig. Or maybe he just chucked a spinnerbait in amongst some structure an' hauled that hog out. And pass the Busch.

Is the correct style bo or bo' or boh?

As in, "Them fish were bitin today, bo!"
