Bad candy....no really, candy

Love Reese' peanut butter cups, the regular size.

The King Cup, or whatever it is called, throws the flavor proportions way out of whack and makes it nasty. And by nasty, I mean while you are eating it, and then again about an hour later.

How anyone can dislike Mike and Ike's (original flavor) is beyond me. Some of the flavor variations don't work as well. I will saw, eating a stale or hard Mike and Ike is awful, but such is true for any candy.

That old time candy site reminded me how long it's been since I had Bottle Caps.

Oh Bottle Caps. How I don't miss thou's sugary teeth-rotting goodness.

Anybody have an urge, after looking at that site, to grab some pop rocks and a coke and test the old myth? :D

Grab some Mentos while you're at it and have some real fun.

That old time site is great.. remember waxed lips and the little wax bottles that had some kind of sugar-juice in them? The one that kills me because it vanished, there was this fudge bar when I was little. The inside of the bar was fudge of some sort and the outside chocolate. The wrapper was blue. Can't remember the name. It vanished and I've been missing it for more than 30 years.

Speaking of old time candy, I have a Blow Pop that's been in my desk drawer at work since at least 2002. Just never got around to eating it. After a while, I wrote the year on the wrapper and decided to wait and see how long it would take to disintegrate.
There's also a cough drop that's been in there since I inherited the desk in 1998.

Candy Corn is fine. Now and Laters, so-so.

Necky Wafers and black licorice. Absolute crud.

Disagree, and remain most-disturbed at the apparent disappearance of Switzer's black-licorice BITS (not the ropes, the BITS) from the nation's candy displays.

That Blow Pop will probably outlive you.

My dad just asked me why I was laughing so loud. This post is why. Bat, take a pic of it and make it your avatar lol

I smell a commercial brewing.

No, Mikey. Those are your six-day-old, unwashed sweatpants you smell.

Where have you gone, Bubble Burger?

Wherever it went it can ****ing stay there. That one's about on the level of candy cigarettes (I can't actually believe they made those things now) and Peeps and those damn Cadbury Creme Eggs.

You can say what you want about me, but I'll be god-damned if I'm going to sit here and let you impugn Bubble Burger.

Loved the wax candy.

Probably my all time favorite piece of candy was some wax candy I got trick or treating, oh, probably 35 years back now. It was an orange colored harmonica: a piece of wax candy shaped closely to a harmonica with holes that allowed you to actually play the harmonica candy as long as you wanted, and when you couldn't resist the waxy goodness anymore, well, you started wolfin' on it. Still remember that little treat to this day.

And Smarties, BottleCaps, Necco Wafers. All fantastic stuff. I don't know what's wrong with some of you people. Remind me not to share my Hot Dog bubble gum with you next time around.

It's showing no signs of withering away, that's for sure. The wrapper is a little worn, I guess from being shuffled around in the desk from time to time. But since it's out of the light and in an air-conditioned office it'll probably be eternal. If it weren't for the date written on it, you'd think it just came out of the bag.

Hey, more for you :D

Minor thread jack here but that old-school candy site reminded how cool I thought Wacky Packages were when I was a kid. Horrific gum too, but that's not why you bought them. Couple good Wackies websites out there.

I, for one, am absolutely terrified to do a google image search for "wacky packages".
