No. 16 Louisville 67, Cincinnati 62

December 14, 2006

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Angel McCoughtry scored all but two of her 25 points in the second half to lead Number 16 Louisville to a 67-to-62 home victory over Cincinnati tonight.

It was the Big East opener for both teams. The win gave Louisville coach Tom Collen his 200th career victory.

McCoughtry also had a career-high 18 rebounds. She scored eight points during a 16-to-4 run that put the ten-and-oh Cardinals ahead 66-to-62 with under two minutes to play.

The seven-and-two Bearcats were up 42-to-35 at halftime. Shelly Bellman led Cincinnati with 16 points.

McCoughtry helped Louisville outrebound Cincinnati 53-to-44. Katie Olson added 12 points for Louisville.

Maybe this was meant for the radio/TV folk and not for print?
