Well, OhhhhhhK then.

What in the wide, wide world of sports does that mean?

I had given up on Bond films until the last one, which might have been the best in decades....

Brosnan was a good Bond, but the movies sucked.

Dirk, it's supposed to represent Bond's character in the movie and what take place during the movie.

I too, am baffled by the title... ??? :-X

I'd like to see a remake of Goldfinger, the best of all of them.

A few cool action sequences aside, the only fitting title for these movies basically is "Yesterday Was Enough."

"A Quantum of Solace"?

Probably better than "A Teensy Bit of Emotional Comfort."

But not by much.

Quantum Of Solace sounds like a song title Queensryche dismissed in favor of Silent Lucidity.

The current Bond is the best in recent memory.

But nobody's played Bond better than George Lazenby. :)

Lazenby aside, that IS one of the best Bond movies. Great score too. I own it.

Agreed and the new Bond appears to be the sequel, of sorts, to Casino Royale. According to IMDB, Giancarlo Giannini is back as Mathis and Jesper Christensen is back as Mr. White. Mr. White, as we last saw, was laying on the ground with a big gun pointed at him.

The title comes from one of the short stories in Ian Fleming's "For Your Eyes Only."

They're trying to reboot the franchise, obvious with the throwback title to "Casino Royale," Fleming's first book. Now they're trying to adapt the old, unused titles to the movies.

Bubbler,
I was being facetious about Lazenby.

Not only is Casino oneof the best Bond movies, Craig, in my opinion, is the best James Bond since Connery.

The fight sequences were astonishingly realistic.

HC bought me a copy of From Russia With Love a few months ago--the second Bond movie, I believe. Watched it with my 19 year old son who's an absolute Bond nut but had never seen it.

I thought that the absence of any special affects and the fact that it's over 40 years old may have put him off, but he loved every minute.

On a scale of 1 to 10, taking into account the time and context the film was made

Dr. No (1962) 8
From Russia with Love (1963) 9

You Only Live Twice (1967) 7
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) 6
Diamonds Are Forever (1971) 8
Live and Let Die (1973) 8
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) 7
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) 3
Moonraker (1979) 2
For Your Eyes Only (1981) 2
Octopussy (1983) 2
A View to a Kill (1985) 1
The Living Daylights (1987) 5
Licence to Kill (1989) 5
GoldenEye (1995) 6
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) 6
The World Is Not Enough (1999) 6
Die Another Day (2002) 7
Casino Royale (2006) 9
