...that they are indeed the worst franchise in sports, despite the current won-loss record. If you don't believe me, just ask their supper fan, Clipper Darrell.

While we're talking stupid, anyone see anything on MLB denying the Astros the chance to use the gun logo on the throwback Colt .45 jerseys?

Who appointed that guy the team's supper fan, or super fan, even.

The guy is stretching his 15 minutes of fame. I hadn't heard his name mentioned once this season, and my life wasn't missing anything.

I googled his name and found his site:

Not sure why the Clippers are required to let this guy go around and make appearances with the name "Clipper". God forbid something happen at one of his appearances and someone gets sue-happy (shocker I know in California).

Wonder if the Yankees would allow Yankee Darrel to sell apparel with the look of the Yankees, without getting a cut.

Clippers are taking a lot of crap locally, but I'm with them on this.

It sounds like they tried to work with the guy, and he was having no part of it.

They have to protect the brand, especially since it's now worth something.

Besides people like Tiger Vols, who would give a ****?

Hack local radio and TV hosts.

So what exactly is the connection between "Black History Month" and being "underpriviledged"? This sounds like they are trying to give 1,000 tickets away to black kids but don't want to come out and say it. Otherwise, how do you prove that you are "underprivledged"? Do you have to bring your family's most recent tax forms to prove your income for the last year?

And while it says "Black History Month", they don't say that the underpriviledged kids must be black.

Heck, any parent could walk up with their kid and claim their underprivileged and get free seats.

So this year Black History Month had an extra day and STILL the Clippers couldn't manage to celebrate it on time?

For the record, that ad was from last year, they caught **** for it.

They celebrated black history month with a game in March.
The whole thing about 'underpriveledged'.

And that pic of The Donald is just the cherry on top.

I doubt the Clippers will be giving away any tickets this year anyway. They're drawing pretty well these days.

Plaschke nails it

Clipper Darrell just broke down in tears live on ABC7 in a very awkward interview on set following the Lakers game. Weird dude.

After reading this, gotta agree with the Clips. And with a nod to this being a journalism board, is Plaschke the only journ in SoCal that called the Clippers after hearing the sob story?
