Apologies if this is a D_B and/or the wrong board, but everybody involved in this story needs to be exposed to some nationwide ridicule.

Another reason why high school is basically a hell-hole and a cess-pool. Especially in places like Texas that think football is the reason why there are high schools.

Their sponsor can discipline me anytime she wants.

She does look as if she'd have a well-equipped dungeon. And I wonder if poindexter, the myspace maven that he is, can find the pages in question.

Not sure why the media catches blame in the report. That's not something the principal/school district has any control over.

I had this happen to a much smaller degree when I was teaching and sponsoring the dance squad. Principal's daughter and friends were allowed to wear things that were listed as a no-no in the dress code. I just didn't turn any other girl in for them either. Parents should never be allowed to be principal of their child's school.

Cheerleading - not a sport. Instead, a cult. This is like Mean Girls come to life.

(Too bad about the Griz, SC. Time to become a Minuteman fangirl.)

whoever approved the school district to spend $39K on an investigation of this crap should face criminal charges.

There's a really good book to be written about the uniquely American cultural phenomenon of cheerleading.

Amazing.. how the adults let this get so far gone is amazing.. hell yeah, mommy the principal deserves to lose her job... and the girls need to spend the rest of the year in alternative school...

Maybe I'm naive, but I still don't think there are many schools out there where things could get out of hand to THIS degree.

This was a matter of "perfect" circumstances, starting with the principal being mom of one of the "ultra-cool" gang.

And there obviously was nobody -- including, apparently, the investigator -- with the balls to swing the wrathful broom.

Stunning.
