SE Nathan Sanders resigned recently after taking some sort of sabbatical. So, Abilene has an opening once again.
It sucks he stepped down, because Sanders is a cool dude and I thought he was going to take Abilene in a good direction.
But, so is life.

This is a Cardinal sin of journalism. Yes, there are a thousand or two dailies in this country, but mentioning the final score somewhere in the story is drilled into our heads so many times, it's one of those things you don't forget unless a.) no one is checking your pages but yourself and b.) you're really inept.

Yeah, updated three days later.

There were about 20 comments originally with this story, too, that trashed the lack of a score. Nuked, all of 'em. Someone has that much free time on their hands?

No. Like most papers from similar markets (Amarillo, Lubbock, Wichita Falls, Waco, Tyler, Texarkana, etc.), they used to send writers back in the '90s when the Cowboys were winning. Most of those places quit doing that when the Super Bowl trips dried up.

You could probably get credentials, but any trips would be on your own time and your own dime.
