Abby Wambach doesn't like "foreigners"

A certain Republican candidate for president says things 100 times worse than that on an almost daily basis, and millions of Americans think he's a hero for it.

She barely mentioned "foreigners" in a reasonable opinion of about a half dozen reasons why she doesn't think Klinsmann is doing a good job.

I didn't say he was my hero. He's far from it. But "these foreign guys" has a negative ring to it that again, would have gotten a politician in hot water.

Is it possible to say, for example, "I do not believe State U. should rely so much on JUCO players" without having people think you hate all JUCO players?

Of course it is. And that's pretty much where she was going with her point on foreigners.

Not liking the changes implemented by "foreign guys" isn't the same as not liking foreigners!

It's like how Baron can love the WWE's racist stereotypes and story lines, but not have an ounce of racism in him.

I don't know. Sounds nuanced.

It's like saying you don't like Mexican immigrants who commit crimes, or Muslim immigrants who commit acts of terror.

If you say something like this, am I supposed to believe you don't hate all Mexicans or Muslims? I don't think so!

Hilarious. Yuppie, hipster icon saying this. Lot of angst in Brooklyn and The Castro today.

We need Lena Dunham to weigh in, and we'll have white, liberal, female bingo.

Hopefully Chelsea Clinton will send a tweet of support Amy's way.

I wouldn't know Abby Wambach from a Wampa.

And neither would Chelsea Clinton.

I assume soccer players, like soccer fans, would never think less of people who are different.

I didn't say he was your hero. But let's be real here:

The front-runner for a major American political party's nomination for president spews hate for foreigners every second of every day, and gets more and more support the more hateful he gets. Hate for foreigners, or anyone different from them in any way, is a desirable trait for a large segment of America.
