OK, there's a 'sport,' I believe it's popular in France, in which people run around the street or through the park and do tricks, spins and jumps as if they are on a skateboard, but they aren't on a skateboard.
Does anyone know the name of this activity?

it is called "parkour", according to a show I recently watched*, I think they referred to it as "urban gymnastics".....
it's pretty "gay".

*at 3am in France, programming is limited.

Thanks, I just found a couple Web sites about it:

What does Ozzie Guillen think of this activity?

Since competition goes against the philisophy of parkour, our fantasy league will just draft 'tracers' and that will pretty much be the end of it.
No games, no season.

I've seen people doing this in Central Park and had no clue what they were doing - now I understand.
