That's a decent shaker if you're close to it, and 38 miles from Ottawa is close.

Felt it rather strongly in Northwest Ohio. Apartment was shaking. It's the first time I've ever felt one. I'm not going to lie, it was kind of cool.

Go #earthquake on Twitter and try and keep up.

Apparently as far East as Ottawa and Montreal and down in parts of the US

From USGS:

* 49 km (31 miles) N (349 degrees) of Cumberland, Ontario, Canada
* 52 km (33 miles) N (10 degrees) of Gatineau, Québec, Canada
* 58 km (36 miles) NNE (16 degrees) of Hull, Québec, Canada
* 61 km (38 miles) N (11 degrees) of OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada

I felt it here in the Toronto 'burbs. My chair started shaking and the walls were creaking. Really freaky. Thought nothing of it until I threw on CP24 on the office TV and they were talking about it. Buddy of mine works downtown and he emaield to say they evacuated his building.

This is weird but I didn't feel anything. And I'm about ten kilometres from Huggy's office. HC's office is about five kilometres away and she felt it.

Yep. I'm not too far outside Cleveland and I felt it. GF is in upstate NY right now and she felt it there, too.

I wonder if there'll be a tsunami on the fake lake at the G20 site.

Buddy of mine on Facebook threw out a status change wondering about an earthquake -- and he lives in Ann Arbor.

It's God's way of saying She is really pissed off that the G20 summit is in Toronto this weekend. She really wanted to see the Phillies

Down here in Cincy, I didn't feel a thing... but even the local hyperactive TV folks just broke in with a special report featuring a UC professor. Apparently, some people down here noticed it.

A friend in Rochester felt it.

So did your friend FarmerJ near Syracuse. I was removing wallpaper, and I was pretty psyched that I was off the ladder when the house started shaking.

It wasn't anything major, I don't think the cats woke up. I just kept an eye on the TV to make sure it didn't teeter off the dresser.

An area YMCA was evacuated though. Old building.

Didn't feel the quake, but many others in metro Detroit said they did.

Same here, Wolv.

Have heard reports it was felt up to Port Huron, Saginaw and Ann Arbor.
