Yeah this is Blue Angels week. That last one is still operating beyond the safety parameters but “unexpected” simply isn’t true.

I was impressed with the helicopter one - couldn’t believe they found a way to make sure no one was flying a drone and all the sea gulls stayed out of the way.

I’m pretty sure you don’t want a bird strike when you’re 50 feet over a crowd of civilians, so I guess they probably sent people through first to drive off all the ocean chickens.

I mean surely “well at least it looks cool on social media” isn’t why SecDef is waiving safety protocols.

They do it during practice sessions over the Gulf too. I've seen at least one sneak pass every summer down there.

Folks hyperventilating over this or blaming the current administration are just showing their lack of Redneck Riviera knowledge.

As a regular Gulf Shores visitor, I can tell you the Blue Angels do that pretty regularly. They'll get low enough that their jet wash knocks over pop-up tents. The rest of the Angels will be out flying in formation, then the solo jet will come in for a sneak pass while the spectators are distracted.

From three years ago ...

Not like this is a surprise or sudden, new thing. Has been going on for decades. People don't pay attention, plan ahead or do anything much more than "Gimmie mah Whyyytte Claw and a chair."

Still, these douchebag pilots think it's funny to do this. It's not. And in today's world they won't get in trouble.

That one wing still dips awfully close to the water for my comfort level. But if I had to pick any pilot in the world to pull off that maneuver, it would be a Blue Angels member. Those guys are absolute legends in Pensacola and nearby beach towns.

The reflecting pool was a ****show from the start, and will be for however many times any administration tries to fix it. Multiple issues, from the pump to the surface to the weather conditions. It can't be done adequately and for long-lasting success in a couple of weeks.

A couple of years ago Ms. SixToe wanted the semi-shaded back patio painted. No problem, I said, but it would need to be scrubbed with a solvent to remove existing dampness gunk and dried well with some industrial fans. Then it would need to be prepped-repainted on a day with low humidity to reduce the chance for peeling and gunk returning. Otherwise it'd be a waste of time and money.

I get home one afternoon and a guy we use for some handyman stuff (mostly electrical) is painting the patio. Ms. SixToe is happy, thinking it will be great.

I am told that I"m "being negative" when I say the gunk-mold-bubbling-peeling will return within a month, if not weeks, due to the patio being damp.

Less than two weeks we had the first bubbles. It's not ****ing rocket science to deal with concrete, water, pools and such.

Come on man, people LOVE the sneak pass on the beach. There's no reason for the pilots to get in trouble for it.

It's one of the easy ways to spot a Gulf newbie. They'll be watching the five jets flying in a diamond formation, while the regulars and locals are watching for the solo jet coming in low and fast.

So she awarded a no-bid contract as well?

Rick Scott can go eff himself seven days a week.

"The White House has strict ethics guidelines that we expect all staffers and officials to follow," said White House spokesperson Davis Ingle when contacted by ABC News
They all ignore any guidelines, guardrails, policies, suggestions, "the way it's been done," LAWS or anything else they don't want to deal with.

No one is going to do anything to any of them. Ever. No courts, tribunals, trials, nada. Nothing. They all will skate and they know it, and if anyone tries to do anything they will lie, scream and call in their thugs to help them.

FINAL WARNING TO CANADA: Manage your forests to prevent these fires. American lungs are paying the price for Canadian inaction, year after year.

Sovereignty comes with responsibility, and the responsibility to prevent a foreseeable disaster from crossing into another country’s airspace has not been met.

FINAL WARNING!!!!

Isn't that cute? An Uncle Tom delivers the Uncle Ben tagline!!
