Now I will say that the lady who does those SEC commercials is very good looking, but God in Heaven, enough is enough with the arrogance of this conference.

For family photos, yes. Women and girls in white dresses. Men and boys in white shirts, khaki shorts or pants.

There are plenty of photogs who make a decent living shooting those along the Gulf Coast.

Never had to do that family photo, but was best man at a beach wedding outside of Gulf Shores. You guessed it, white dress shirts, cuffs undone, with khaki pants and no shoes.

I'd like a longform history of how that became the defacto uniform for all photo shoots on the Redneck Riviera. Was it because everybody has a white shirt and khakis? Is it because it contrasts so well with the khaki in front of the white sand and the white shirt in front of the ocean and sky? I've asked dozens of people why they dress like that for those photos and the underlying reason seems to be "Well, that's what you wear!"

My wife's giant family does similar shoots, but with themed colors (aqua/pastel red, usually). Maybe that's the North Carolina version.

This was covered in much funnier detail back in December.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THAT SEC COMMERCIAL

This is also accurate since Vanderbilt is in Nashville, and nothing says Vanderbilt or Nashville more than “I have spent thousands of dollars to train my child in a dead but prestigious discipline like opera singing or climbing the social ladder at an expensive private institution.”

As someone who dated an opera singer all I can say is *slow clap.*
