    Agreed.

Hell, the bonus material on the Pan's Labyrinth DVD is better than half the movies on that list.

Certainly on my top-25 list. Pulp Fiction, too.

That list is pretty damn bad.
So many movies not listed and plenty nobody here has ever heard of. As was said before, half of those films are for the pretentious types.
How is a movie like Return of the King, which won 11 Oscars - including best picture - not on that list? Just dumb.
I will say this though, those movies I haven't seen I want to see now.

Bad movies on the list - Boyhood, The Master and The Tree of Life. The latter was just dreadful.

'The Devil's Backbone,' also by Del Toro, was also really good, and was from 2001.

    Other thoughts on the list:
    'Cache' was great.
I really liked 'Inside Llewyn Davis,' but I'm not sure it's top 25.
Same is true of 'Zodiac.' I really liked it, but I don't know if i'd list it that high.

'City of God' and 'Crouching Tiger' I think would be in my top 25.
I also loved 'House of Sand and Fog' and 'The Constant Gardner,' which didn't make the top 100.

Argh. TDK is such an overrated film. It has one of the all-time great performances in it, but as a film, it's a mess.

Alma picked apart the flaws in the film years ago.

    Dark Knight discussions (**SPOILERS!!**)

I enjoyed the first two Nolan Batman movies, but I wouldn't put them among 100 best of past 16 years.

For movies based on comic books, I'd have 'Ghost World' in my top 25, and 'Scott Pilgrim' in my top 100, very close to the top 25.
    Both great movies.

I have not seen a single one of these. And haven't heard of half of them.

    Sad or sheltered?
