I'm curious about Penn State's home opener and what, if anything now, the school will do to honor Paterno now that he's died. Will they go with a moment of silence and call it a day? Even that won't sit well with some in the anti-Paterno set at this point.

oh, darn tootin' it'll be coming down, if for no other reason thit's o let own protection. you can bet it's going to be vandalized comstantly, maybe knocked down. let 'em find another plsce on campus for it AWAY from the stadium so it's no longer such a constant reminder of the atrocities commited under joe pa's watch. the guy let a pedophile destroy his once pristeen legacy. and is now making every feel sheepish and apologetic instead of proud of their alma mater. at least every alum with a conscience.

Several hundred of you were angry enough to flip cars when that monster was fired. Your leaders have failed you. Take back your respect. Tear down the statue yourself. I'd like to hear ONE Penn State student or former player express their disgust that the paragon of virtue after which they modeled themselves was a self-serving hypocrite whose greatest lesson was that nothing is more important than protecting yourself and your legacy, even if it means willfully aiding in the destruction of innocent lives.

The fact that so many are willing not to distance themselves from Paterno's now-horrifying legacy, but instead continue to embrace it is mind-boggling and anger-inducing.
