I'll also add that, at 7-4 with a game to go, **** Tomey should be on that list of candidates too.

Houston Nutt... they wanted him OUT a year ago and now he's gone 10-2...

Very good case for Carr, from 7-5 to a possible BCS title game spot/

I picked Schiano over Grobe because Wake Forest has been getting better the past few years, so this season, to me, wasn't out of nowhere the way Rutgers was.

Grobe.

End of thread, story, argument.

Um ... uh ... NO.

I'd have no problem with Grobe No. 1, but I'd also have no problem with Schiano No. 1. Let them go 1-2 in whatever order you want and then pick whoever you want at No. 3.

I like Schiano at #1, Grobe at #2, but I also think a case can be made for Stoops, losing his star QB prior to the season and forced to use a player who played WR the year before as his signal caller. Battled through injuries to his all-american halfback and still may win the Big 12 and make the trip to a BCS Bowl if the Sooners can beat Nebraska in the Conference championship game. I think he's done a hell of a job with all of the stuff they've had to battle through.

Why are you guys still posting? Hondo ended the argument three hours ago.

I'd give the edge to Schiano over Grobe, because as someone mentioned, Wake has gradually been getting better. The last few years they've always been a tough team to play even if they didn't win. If Rutgers went 7-4 or something like that then I'd go with Grobe in a heartbeat. But what Schiano did was simply amazing. Shame for Jersey he'll be in Miami next year.

Moddys, can we get this thread locked? The debate is over. Hondo said so.

I have to say Grobe, although Schiano can put up a very good argument. Winning 10 games for the first time in the school's history while losing your leading passer and rusher from last season to injury is hard to beat, especially when you have the third smallest undergrad enrollment in Division 1-A

Schiano...
and Headbutt, I repeat, Schiano is NOT going to Miami or anywhere else.

Come on guys -- it's Wake ****ing Forest.

And Rutgers is Rutgers. What, exactly, has New Jersey EVER won?

I actually am starting to think you're right. But I wonder Jersey Boy, why is that?
