La. lawmaker is miffed a program she supported to fund public and private education could also fund non-Christian (i.e. Mooslim!) schools.

“I actually support funding for teaching the fundamentals of America’s Founding Fathers’ religion, which is Christianity, in public schools or private schools,” Hodges told the Livingston Parish News.
“I liked the idea of giving parents the option of sending their children to a public school or a Christian school,” Hodges added.

An ignorant bigot (yes, I know that is redundant) in Louisiana politics? I'm shocked!

The Founding Fathers also believed religion should be practiced freely and equally. They made kind of a big deal of it in that Constitution thingy, a point that appears lost on Hodges.

I am irately incensed. Why can't we fund an American band -- like America or even Chicago!

I've followed the Who's history for decades, and I get the feeling that Townshend, Moon and Entwistle - while great musicians, were dorks.

They seem to try 'too hard' to ham it up in pictures. Just seem dorky... but what do I know.

I think Roger Daltrey is/was a great frontman, though.

She probably should have thought this through.

"I said such crazy things in the campaign that I never thought people would actually vote for me. Now that I've won, I have no idea what I'm doing."

Oh, come on! You have to know that "freedom of religion" actually means "freedom to practice MY religion."
