... I was forced into doing the splits while repeatedly yelling "Please stop!" as my coach and teammates were pushing me down further.

Denver East High School. School officials got the videos in June but didn't do anything until the parents sent the videos to the TV station this week.

Coach, assistant coach, principal, assistant principal and district counsel are on leave. The coach is the guy who backflips down the field at Broncos games.

I've always used the singular, though: 'Do a split' rather than 'do the splits.'
