If Jennifer Lawrence is a victim of sexual harassment, then so is Anthony Weiner.

Not sure I'd equate the two. A cloud service isn't the same as social media and Weiner's photo went up on his Twitter feed.

The first time. The second time he sent them to a woman privately, and she released them publicly.

But can yourself be sexually harassed if you are harassing someone else? I know presumably the woman welcomed the advance, but the behavior was borderline inapropriate for a man of his position and marital status. Jennifer Lawrence et al were in the confines of their own homes or privete spaces taking photos that were never distributed to a second party.

You state that as a fact. How do you know that?

Fair enough, I'll qualify to say those photos didn't appear they were distributed to a second party. I make that assumption base on the number of people who had photos exposed and that it came from a single source. And it has happened before that celebrities had their phones hacked for intimate photos. But, you're right, these could have been sent to significant others who were looking to make a buck by selling it to a third party.

Spartan, I have no idea how those pictures were actually obtained, it certainly could have been a combination of ways since there are so many. But "I was hacked" is up there with "I never knowingly ingested drugs" and "He was a good kid" as cliched slogans I no longer believe. JMO.

Someone (I think Sonner, who WOULD KNOW) mentioned that the belief on the Upton pics was that they were actually Verlander pics, off his phone. The full dump of that batch would seem to confirm this. There are several women on there who aren't Kate. So either she is unbelievably wild in a way that would break the Internet, or those ladies are his road stops.

I can't imagine she'd care too much, though. They aren't married, and as into sex as they both are, she can't be expecting him to hold out when they spend probably 75 percent of their nights apart. Man's gotta eat.

Yeah, I have no doubt those photos are taken to send to someone else.

OK, so the assumptions might be faulty, and I could easily be proven wrong about how these photos were distributed. My hesitation to accept that this wasn't a hack lies in how these photos appeared. The mass upload from an anonymous source on one site of multiple people instead of single individuals seeing their photos popping independently of each other. Why the celebs took the photos are their business, I just think it was a hacker who compiled these photos from breaking into a backup server or individual phones. I feel like if former or current significant others had released these pictures, wouldn't at least a couple have taken credit by now? Or wouldn't the celebrities announced they had been under threat of blackmail?

As for what was mentioned earlier that "I was hacked" is a cliche slogan, yes, you might be right, but I also think if someone who were given the photos by the celebrity then turned around and put them online, I feel like those people would have been thrown under the bus by now. Again, I could be wrong, but in an age where we hear about companies losing credit card and personal info what seems like every other week, how is it so hard to fathom that this was a hacker?

My guess, and this is pure spitballing, is that is was a combo of both hacking and trade/barter. There is a story on Deadspin from last week of a screencap of a really disgusting exchange with one of the guys. He was an aggregator, looking to trade for more of these pics.

There were photos of what, roughly 100 women. I only saw a few of these. The Hope Solo pic - a pretty well-choreographed selfie of her ass - either that one was sent as a gift to a 'friend', or Hope really loves looking at some Hope.

This story is just all sorts of WTF:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/23/emma-watson-4chan-un-speech-_n_5870062.html

So Emma Watson spoke out a while back about the situation that fappened...I mean happened. Then a poster on 4chan said THEY have nudes of her and were going to leak it starting at midnight of the 24th. A website is made with a countdown clock. At midnight, the website directs people to another website that says they want to go after 4chan and shut them down...but it's actuall a hoax site created by spammers to phish for people's info.

It's like Inception for perverts.

The latest round didn't get much hype since after Jennifer Lawrence, there aren't too many people who can cause that kind of an Internet uproar.

Anyone who clicks on a link that peddles NUDE PICS OF [insert celebrity] HERE!!!!! deserves whatever virus or identity theft they get.

There are now Charlotte McKinney pics out there, if you are into that sort of thing.
