Maybe this isn't as big (or bad) a deal as you think. I suspect that the X-ray biz is pretty old-school stuff for GE. Offshoring a mature (perhaps dying) business line is pretty common fare. That frees domestic capacity for newer, more profitable lines (e.g., non-X-ray imaging).
