You're most certainly right. I just realized how long it's been since I left Bristol. In the past, they were willing to exceed the salary range a bit for the right candidate. Not sure if that's still true.
 
Do you think they are going after people already working at a website or maybe more newspaper people they convert to web?
 
Fran, in my experience that doesn't really matter. I came from newspapers, as did most of the people on the desk (only because sports websites weren't that prevalent). But there were some from a web background solely, or at least their most recent jobs.

If you can do the work, they'd love to have you. They don't care where you've been, only where you want to be. Etc. etc. with corny schlock.

But it really doesn't matter.
